Mariners win, Sentinels fall

The Pacifica High football team squared its record at 1-1 Saturday with a 41-22 victory over Linfield Christian in Temecula.

Big plays provided an early 27-3 for the blue, black and white. The Mariners are idle next week, and resume play on Thursday, Sept. 8 against Canyon High of Anaheim. The Comanches are 2-0.

Magnolia’s record went to 0-2 after a 44-0 loss to University High of Irvine on Saturday. The Sentinels will seek their first victory of 2022 on Friday with a home intersectional game against Radford High of Honolulu. The Rams are 0-2.
