The CIF-SS playoffs for boys’ water polo will begin this coming week.

Here are the first round pairings and schedules by divisions involving local teams. Games are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Open Division (Thursday, Nov. 3)

• Huntington Beach (20-6) at Newport Harbor (26-2)

Division 3  (Tuesday, Nov. 1)

• Glendora (9-16) at Pacifica (13-14)
• Marina (13-13) at Fullerton (14-10)

Division 5 (Tuesday, Nov. 1 )

• Corona (17-13) at Los Amigos (9-10)
• Royal (15-13) at Western (15-9)
• Ontario (10-10) at Westminster (21-8)
• Saddleback (19-9) at La Quinta (7-5)
• Ocean View (7-11) at Don Lugo (18-10)

Division 6 Wild Card (Tuesday, Nov. 1)

• San Gorgonio (11-10) at Loara (5-7).

The winner here plays Tahquitz in Round 1 on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The final water polo polls mention two local teams. Huntington Beach is seventh in the Open Division. Westminster is fourth in Division 5.
