Contract proposal before board

A public hearing on the initial contract proposal from the local unit of the California School Employees Association tops the agenda for tonight’s (Tuesday) meeting of the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education.

Also, a presentation on the proposal will be made by district staff. CSEA represents non-certificated employees such as bus drivers, cafeteria workers, mechanics, landscapers, etc.

The agenda also includes a presentation on district employees of the month by Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services Jason Bevacqua.

There is a closed session scheduled for 5:05 p.m., and a study session on student learning outcomes at 5:30 p.m. with the regular board meeting starting at 7 p.m.

The GGUSD serves most of Garden Grove and parts of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.

The board meets at 10331 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove.
