A note of “apology” was left by the man who shot and killed six fellow employees at a Walmart store in Chesapeake, Virginia.
According to the Associated Press, Andre Bing wrote: “Sorry everyone but I did not plan this I promise things just fell into place like I was led by Satan.”
Bing, a supervisor, had legally bought the 9mm pistol he used in Tuesday’s mass shooting. He had no prior criminal record and the note was found on his phone.
United Press International reports that he also claimed he was being “harassed” by co-workers and blamed his parents for not having paid “closer attention” to his “social deficits.”
Warnock with lead over Walker
A poll commissioned by AARP last week shows Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock leading Republican challenger Hershel Walker by 46 percent to 42 percent.
The race is closely watched because although Democrats will control the U.S. Senate with 50 votes – and Vice President Kamala Harris being the tie-breaker – a victory by Warnock would give them some insurance against a leak in party unity.
The runoff election – scheduled since neither candidate won a majority on Nov. 8 – will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, although Saturday voting is in place as well
