An agreement to continue to lease the Stanton Park site for another five years goes before the Stanton City Council when it meets on Tuesday.

The site is owned by Southern California Edison and is employed as a greenbelt for electrical power towers. It’s located west of the Stanton Civic Center and east of Beach Boulevard (north of Katella Avenue). The city uses it as a linear park.

Under consideration by the council will be a deal that starts on July 1 of this year and runs through June 30, 2028. The cost is $6,713.74 for the term, or $1,342.75 annually.

The council will meet in its chambers in the Civic Center at 7800 Katella Ave. at 6:30 p.m.
