The Union of Overseas Vietnamese Language Schools (TAVIET) hosted a recognition gala on Saturday, Feb. 25 to honor over 500 Vietnamese Language Teachers and community leaders from across the nation.

National Merit students from Edison High
Adam Vo, Wyatt Bellinger and Logan Kaylani of Edison High School in Huntington Beach have been named finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.
These Edison students are in the top 3 percent of all the test-takers.

The following local students have been honored by their college or universities for academic achievement. They are:
- Tyler Tran of Westminster has been named to the fall 2022 dean’s list of Curry College in Milton, Mass.
- Tyler Tran of Garden Grove and Alicia Dodds of Huntington Beach have been named to the dean’s list of the University of Maryland Global Campus in Adelphi, Md.
- Cole Dimarco and Chance Dimarco, both of Huntington Beach, have been named to the fall 2022 dean’s list the University of Mississippi in University, Miss.
