Five shot dead in Louisville

FIVE PEOPLE were fatally shot by a gunman in Louisville , Kentucky before he was killed by police (Shutterstock).

A disgruntled former employee at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky went on a rampage Monday morning, fatally shooting five people at the savings institution.

According to the Associated Press, the gunman – identified by police as Connor Strurgeon, 25 – was fatally shot by police. He was reported to be live streaming the attack on Instagram.

It was the 15th mass shooting in the U.S. this year. Nine people were wounded by gunfire, including Officer Nickolas Wilt, 26, who was in critical condition after being shot in the head.

U.S. wants abortion pill ruling stayed

According to United Press International, the motion by the Justice Department – joined by the drug-maker – was to the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The original ruling blocking the sale of the drug was made by U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk.
