Texas Atty. General faces impeachment
Ken Paxton, the Texas Attorney General, is facing the prospect of impeachment, an event that’s only happened twice in the history of the Lone Star State.
A committee of the Texas House of Representatives has recommended Paxton be impeached, which would mean he would have to step down while he was tried by the state Senate.
He has been accused of taking bribes disregarding his duty, obstructing justice and more.
Sports: A’s Vegas-bound?
The Oakland A’s are on their way to Las Vegas, probably.
A “tentative” agreement to bring the Oakland baseball franchise to Las Vegas was announced on Thursday. State and Clark County officials have agreed to help finance an all-weather 30,000-seat baseball stadium which could be ready by the 2027 season.
The A’s are committed to play in the Oakland Coliseum through the 2024 but could acquire year-to-year leases until the new facility is ready.

The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies on Friday with a daytime high of 68 and an overnight low of 57. Saturday will be slightly warmer at 69 (59) with morning clouds and afternoon sun. Temps will cool the next few days to 66 on Sunday and 65 on Monday.
