
A 19-YEAR-OLD LA Palma man was arrested this week in a fatal accident in Westminster (Shutterstock).
A suspect was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal traffic accident in Westminster in December 2022.
According to Commander Kevin MacCormick of the WPD, Jayson Raymond Otto, 19, of La Palma was charged with vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol causing great bodily injury.
The incident took place on Dec. 6 at around 9:38 p.m. in the area of Westminster Boulevard and Rancho Road where a vehicle crashed into concrete barricades.
One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. She is identified as Jayda Jean Feeney, 18, of Huntington Beach. The driver and two other passengers were taken to local trauma centers for treatment.
On Thursday WPD investigators obtained an arrest warrant for the driver of the vehicle, Otto. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Sgt. Anil Adam of the WPD Traffic Division at (714) 548-3770.
