FBI agents shot and killed a man on Wednesday who had made violent threats against President Joe Biden.
According to the Associated Press, the man – identified as Craig DeLeeuw Robertson, 74 – was fatally wounded in a confrontation with federal agents at his home in Provo, Utah, as they sought to serve an arrest warrant.
The FBI told news organizations that Robertson was armed when agents arrived. They said that he had posted online messages that – with Biden making a visit to Utah – he was going to begin “cleaning the dust off the M24 sniper rifle” and put on camouflage gear.
It is a felony to make threats against the president and the FBI agents who were investigating those threats.
