Six “Business of the Year” winners have been announced by the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce for presentation at the 116th Annual Gala Dinner and Awards on Friday, Aug. 25.
This year the Chamber has added new categories.
The winners are:
- Hottest New Business: The family-owned Amarith Table is a popular new restaurant serving a wide variety of cuisines with much of the food coming from the family’s farm in Temecula.
- Franchise of the Year: Crimson Coward, serving Nashville Hot Chicken serves never-frozen food and the chain is considered one of the “Best Fried Chicken Places in America.”
- Excellence in Hospitality: The host of this year’s gala is also the winner here: Anaheim Marriott Suites (located in Garden Grove). It’s a standout in the Grove District of the Anaheim Resort area.
- Service Provider of the Year: Garden Grove Shell #1 offers good gasoline prices as well as the friendly service of owner Joe Hu and his family.
- Most Creative Business: dtn.tech creates promotional products, imprinted apparel and print media and also is committed to community service.
- Non-profit of the Year: One of the city’s longest-established service organizations, Garden Grove Kiwanis Club (Evening) was chartered in 1951 and is well-known for promoting heath and education, along with literacy and youth leadership. It owns and operates the Kiwanisland private park, used by local Boys and Girls Clubs and the Key Clubs from local high schools.
