A MAN armed with a handgun shot himself fatally in Garden Grove Friday night (Shutterstock).

A suspect sought in connection with shots fired inside a home in Garden Grove fatally shot himself Friday night.

According to the GGPD, the incident began around 8:26 p.m. when officers were dispatched to a report of shots being fired inside a residence in the 12000 block of Homestead Place, northwest of Harbor and Garden Grove boulevards.

When officers arrived, another shot was heard from inside. People inside the home were able to flee uninjured, but the suspect – whose identity is being withheld – walked out of the front door armed with a pistol.

Seeing the officers, the man raised the handgun to his head and shot himself. The suspect was pronounced  dead at the scene.
