Who’ll stop the reign?
The Rancho Alamitos High football team has won (or tied for) five consecutive Garden Grove League championships and took a big step toward a sixth with a a 21-12 victory Thursday night over Santiago High at Monsoor Stadium.
With the win, the Vaqueros are 4-2 overall and 1-0 in GGL play. The Cavaliers are 3-3 and 0-1.
In another Grove League game on Thursday. Bolsa Grande (now 4-2 and 1-0) defeated Loara (0-6, 0-1) by 47-28.
Other scores of interest include Los Alamitos over Fountain Valley 49-10 in a Sunset League opener. Tustin (6-0, 1-0) defeated Kennedy (5-2, 0-1) by 47-0 in the first game of the Empire League.
