Two men were arrested on Monday evening in Garden Grove in connection with two shooting incidents in the city.
According to Sgt. Juan Delgado of the GGPD, arrested were Daniel Garcia, 18, of Garden Grove and Isiah Emmanuel Ballejos, 18, of Anaheim.
The first incident took place around 4 p.m. GGPD officers were dispatched to the 12500 block of Sunswept Avenue – in the Buena Clinton area in the southeast of the city – in reference to multiple residents reporting hearing gunshots. Officers found several shell casings nearby.
Around 5:52 p.m. officers responded to the 12600 block of Keel Avenue – not far from the first shooting – in reference to more gunshots reported. When they arrived, officers found a firearm and arrested two suspects who were trying to flee the scene.
The shootings are believed to be related and victims have not been located.
