Marketing plan is updated

An update on efforts to market the district to prospective pupils is on the agenda of Thursday night’s meeting of the Westminster School District Board of Trustees .

Student enrollment is declining all across Orange County because of declining birth rates and other factors, so most public and private school operations are seeking to attract students, including those from another school district.

Enrollment is a factor in how much money a district receives from the state, as well as a major factor in whether any campuses might be closed.

Also on the agenda will be a “student showcase” on the “Dio de los Muertos” program at Willmore Language Academy.

The WSD is a K-8 public school system that serves most of Westminster and portions of adjacent communities.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the District Office, 14121 Cedarwood St., Westminster.
