The death of an elderly woman early Friday morning in Huntington Beach has led to the arrest for murder of Christine Lamphier, 48, of Huntington Beach.
According to Sgt. Anthony Pham of the HBPD, police responded to a call for help at a home in the 6000 block of Tyndall Drive (northeast of McFadden Avenue and Springdale Street) at about 4:20 a.m.
Arriving officers contacted a woman near the front door and inside the home found a deceased woman. The other woman was detained and the preliminary investigation indicated the two women were known to each other.
Based on evidence found at the scene and interviews, Lamphier was arrested and booked on a charge of murder. The victim’s name is not being released pending notification of the next of kin.
It’s believed this is an isolated incident and there’s no threat to the public.
