THE NUMBER of confirmed new cases of coronavirus in Orange County County is down down this week , as are deaths (Shutterstock).

After two weeks of increases, the count of confirmed new coronavirus cases in Orange County declined this week.

According to the county health care agency, the latest count is 457 for this week, down from 523 last week and 487 the week previous.

The number of deaths declined also from eight to seven, and from 13 the week before that.

Hospitalizations connected to COVID 1-9 remained steady at 58.

To date, Orange County has had 742,185 confirmed cases and 8,439 deaths.
