FIRE ON PACHECO Street in Westminster was quickly put out Monday morning (OCFA photo).

A predawn garage fire in Westminster was quickly extinguished  Monday by the Orange County Fire Authority. There were no injuries to either firefighters or civilians.

The OCFA reports that neighbors in the 8000 block of Pacheco Avenue (northeast of Newland Avenue and McFadden Street) called 911 at 5:47 a.m. 

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the garage area, preserving property and valuables for the residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Fountain Valley Fire Department provided assistance.
