An Amber alert about about a child abducted Wednesday morning in Garden Grove resulted in two arrests and the safe return of a 2-year-old young girl in what’s considered a custody dispute.

According to the GGPD, the child was visiting with her mother – identified as Ileane Shelton – at a Chuck E. Cheese on Harbor Boulevard around 11:15 a.m. when a man entered the eatery and attacked a social worker who had custody of the child with pepper spray.

Shelton and the man took the child and fled the area in a Toyota RAV 4 being driven by a second man. An Amber Alert was issued by the California Highway Patrol at the request of Garden Grove police.

At approximately 4 p.m., Shelton  and the girl was found at a bus stop in the Palm Springs area. Shelton was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and the child returned. The suspect who allegedly pepper-sprayed the social worker was also arrested.

UPDATE: The suspect in the pepper-spraying has been indentified as Kweli Murphy, 21.
