Former president Donald Trump can’t raise enough cash to get a bond to pay the $454 million penalty imposed on him for civil fraud.

Trump’s attorneys made the admission in a court filing Monday in which they claimed that 30 companies were approached but there were “insurmountable difficulties” in getting the money.

The court has been asked to accept a bond of $100 million or pause payment on the full amount.

Bond providers would be taking on the financial penalty imposed on Trump if he lost his appeal of the original ruling and failed to pay. To secure the bond, the former president might have to pledge about $550 million in cash and properties, as well as a fee of $20 million.

Video won’t be shown to Trump jury

The video that showed former president Donald Trump boasting abut touching women sexually without consent won’t be shown to the jury, the judge has ruled in Trump’s criminal trial on the payment of “hush money.”

Prosecutors can still pose questions to witnesses about the 2005 videotape, but Judge Juan Mercian ruled that it “wasn’t necessary” to play it for the jury or enter it into evidence.

Trump is facing criminal charges in regards to the money he allegedly paid to suppress evidence of extra-marital affairs on the grounds that company records were falsified as legitimate business expenses.
