Five locals are arrested in a San Jose ‘gang-related’ attack

Six people – four from Garden Grove and one from Westminster – were arrested last week in connection with a gang attack on Oct. 18 in San Jose.

According to the San Jose PD, those arrested for assault with a deadly weapon were:

  • Christian Sung, 31, of San Jose
  • Francisco Ocampo, 34, of Garden Grove
  • Anthony Nguyễn, 31, of Garden Grove
  • Branden Un, 38, of Westminster
  • Bao Nguyễn, 31, of Garden Grove
  • Tri Nguyễn, 38, of Garden Grove.

Sung was arrested in San Jose; the others were arrested in Orange County and were booked into Orange County Jail in Santa Ana.

Search warrants turned up one assault rifle, 15 handguns, over $80,000 in cash and quantities of drugs including meth, cocaine and heroin.

The arrests stemmed from a man suffering injuries by being attacked by six people on Senter Road in San Jose in what police are calling a “gang-motivated” incident.
