The management team at Garden Grove City Hall continues to grow as Matt West has been appointed assistant city manager by City Manager Lisa Kim.
His name and face may be a bit familiar, as he has served as the interim assistant city manager since January.
“It didn’t take long for me to connect with Garden Grove and realize that this city works hard to be as successful as it is and has a community vibe like no other,” said West. “I’m thrilled to continue carrying out the role of assistant city manager to support the goals of the city council and fulfill the needs of the community.”
West has had wide experience in municipal management, most recently as city manager of Tustin. As assistant city manager, his responsibilities include “overseeing the city’s infrastructure assessment,” and developing a police canine regional training facility at Pioneer Park.
