Police are searching for the suspect in a homicide Friday afternoon in Huntington Beach.

According to Jessica Cuchilla, public affairs officer for the HBPD, officers were dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of England Street (northwest of Beach Boulevard and Indianapolis Avenue) at about 2:30 p.m. regarding a possible death.

Police entered the building and found a woman’s body.

Detectives from the HBPD Major Crimes Unit responded and continued the investigation. They determined that the death was a homicide but an isolated incident and there’s no threat to the public or community.

The investigation is ongoing and the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
