A freeway fire on the roadway spanning Westminster and Seal Beach was quickly extinguished on Saturday evening.
According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the blaze was from a two-car collision in the northbound lanes of the San Diego (405) Freeway north of Seal Beach Boulevard shortly after 6 p.m.
Firefighters from Battalion 1, which serves Westminster and surrounding cities, responded and found one of the vehicles engulfed in flames. All passengers had escape their automobiles and firefighters quickly knocked the fire out.
There were no injuries, but freeway lanes were closed for a while.
