Approval of a half-percent pay increase for certain employees is on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Huntington Beach Union High School District Board of Trustees.
The board will vote on that raise for the 2024-25 school year for certificated administrators including assistant and deputy superintendents, superintendent, pupil personnel services employees, teachers and nurses, hourly home teacher and hourly adult education teachers, classified employees, classified management, confidential employees, classified service exempt employees, the board of trustees and personnel commission.
The increase – if approved by the board – comes after previously-agreed agreements with employee organizations for a 5 percent wage hike retroactive to July 1, 2023 and includes other adjustments.
HBUHSD is a 9-12 system serving Huntington Beach and parts of Fountain Valley and Westminster. The board meets at 6 p.m. at the district office, 5832 Bolsa Ave. in Huntington Beach.
