A SANTA ANA man was fatally shot in Santa Ana (Shutterstock).

An investigation is underway in the murder of 20-year-old Santa Ana man.

According to SAPD, on Sunday at about 12:28 a.m., police received reports of a shooting in the area of Bristol Street and Memory Lane. Responding officers found Fernando Manuel Lopez lying in the southbound lanes of Bristol Street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso.

Orange County Fire Authority units pronounced him dead at the scene.

No motive has been established. Homicide detectives are seeking to identify and find more witnesses to the incident.
