Pre-trial hearing scheduled for GG hit-and-run suspect

A PRE-TRIAL hearing is set for a suspect in two hit-and-gun crashes in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

A man accused of being involved in two hit-and-run collisions in Garden Grove in a single day is set for a pre-trial hearing on Thursday.

According to Sgt. Nick Jensen of the GGPD, Dietrich Hudson – born in 1980 –allegedly took part in two such crashes on Monday, July 15. One crash –  considered a “road rage incident” – took place around 2:30 p.m. at Euclid Street and Garden Grove Boulevard.

In that instance, Hudson is accused of ramming the car in front of him with his vehicle. There were seven people in that automobile, but none were injured. Before that, Hudson is accused of a hit-and-run crash at Westminster Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. There were no reported injuries there, either.

Hudson has pled “not guilty” to seven felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon and two misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run with damage to property.
