A collision between an automobile and a motorcycle early Thursday morning in Santa Ana has taken the life of a 23-year-old Santa Ana resident.
According to the SAPD, the incident took place at the intersection of Bristol Street and Hemlock Way and was reported at 6:01 a.m.
SAPD officers and Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded to the scene. Despite the efforts of a civilian and the OCFA who performed CPR on the motorcyclist, the man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The driver of the automobile remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Investigators believe the motorcycle was traveling north on Bristol while the auto was traveling south on Bristol, turning left on Hemlock, resulting in the collision. The cause is still under investigation and it’s not known if drugs of alcohol were a factor.
The motorcyclist was identified as Tom Nunez Guadarrama.
