
A SUSPECT has been arrested in connection with a shooting in a convenience store in Westminster (Shutterstock).
A 20-year-old Westminster man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a shooting inside a convenience store in Westminster on Thursday.
Officers responded to a report of the incident at about 1:30 a.m. in the 6500 block of Westminster Boulevard near Edwards Street.
No one was hit by the gunfire. The suspect fled the scene, but witnesses were able to identify him and Joshua Cruz was arrested in about two hours.
He was booked into Orange County Jail in Santa Ana. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective S. Gradilla at (714) 548-3778 or the WPD Watch Commander at (714) 548-3767.
