A final tract map for a housing development was approved at Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove City Council.
The council accepted the map for the construction of a 15-unit multiple family residential unit at 12828 Newhope St., north of Garden Grove Boulevard on a 6-0 vote, with Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Tran absent.
The applicant-developer is Olson-Garden Grove 6, LLC.
Also approved was an amendment to a cooperative agreement with the City of Stanton for the rehabilitation of Fern Street at a cost of $64,000.
Additionally, the city council:
• adopted a proclamation recognizing Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 23 to Oct. 31;
• held a Community Spotlight in recognition of Garden Grove TV3 for its recent achievements at the 2024 Star Awards which recognizes excellence in government video programming in California.
