
A SUSPECT has been arrested in connection with a stabbing at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach (Shutterstock).
A 48-year-old Huntington Beach man was arrested for attempted murder after a stabbing incident at Bolsa Chica State Beach on Monday.
According to Jessica Cuchilla, public affairs officer for the HBPD, at about 4:45 p.m. police received a request for assistance from California State Parks to aid state parks peace officers at the Bolsa Chica State Beach Visitors Center.
SPP officers there had already detained a suspect. A second adult male, suffered from stab wounds, was transported to a local trauma center by the Huntington Beach Fire Department.
Detectives from the HBPD Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation and arrested Michael Ryan and booked him on one charge of attempted murder. He is now in custody with bail set at $500,000. The identity of the victim is not being released.
