The Dodgers are in the driver’s seat after 10-2 win over Mets

The Los Angeles Dodgers took a three game to one lead over the home New York Mets on Thursday night as they posted a 10-2 victory.

With a victory in Game Five on Friday, the Blue Crew would win the National League pennant and advance to the World Series against the winner of the American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians.

With a victory in Game Five on Friday, the Blue Crew would win the National League pennant and advance to the World Series against the winner of the American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians.

(In that series, the Yankees lead two games to one; the Guardian won on Thursday 7-5 in 10 innings).

Against the Mets, the Dodgers got 12 hits, including home runs by Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts, who batted 4-for-6 with three runs scored and four RBIs. 

The Blue Crew used four pitchers. Yoshi Yamamoto was the starter, working 4.1 innings and giving up four hits and two runs. He struck out eight batters and walked one.

The win went to Evan Phillips, who pitched 1.1 innings, yielding two hits and no runs. He struck out two Mets and walked one.
