A motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries when his vehicle collided with a truck in Stanton on Monday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on Magnolia Street at Stacie Lane (north of Katella Avenue).

The motorcycle reportedly struck a U-haul box truck that was making a U-turn in the middle of the roadway, fatally injuring the rider. The driver of the truck left the area without stopping to render aid.

The identity of the decedent was not released pending notification of the next of kin. The circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
