A 31-year-old Long Beach man riding a motorcycle was fatally injured in a traffic accident Friday afternoon in Garden Grove.
According to Traffic Investigator John Yergler of the GGPD, the incident took place around 3:30 p.m. in the 14200 block of Bushard Street.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin.
Officers responding to a report of a collision between an automobile and a motorcycle – a 2023 black-and-white Kawasaki Ninja – found the rider lying in the roadway.
Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded and took the motorcyclist to a local trauma center where he was later pronounced deceased.
The auto was a silver 2006 Toyota Camry and the driver was a 49-year-old Westminster man. He remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision.
