ELON MUSK, the world’s richest man, is the founder of Tesla (Wikipedia).

The issue of immigration has long been controversial, and has even divided some supporters of President-elect Donald Trump. But Trump “appears” to be siding with Elon Musk and other tech figures on a key point, according to the Associated Press.

Some backers of a “hard-line” policy on employment for non-citizens are advocating for “America First” policies. But now Musk and others are speaking up in favor of the H-1B visa which allows entrance to America for skilled foreign workers, especially for “hard-to-fill” jobs.

“I’ve always liked the visas,” said Trump in a newspaper interview. “I have always been in favor of the visas.”

Plane crash in Korea kills 85

A plane crash at an airport in South Korea has taken the lives of at least 85 people, according to the Associated Press.

The plane – returning from Bangkok, Thailand – skidded off a runway in the town of Muan and burst into flames after it struck a concrete barrier. It appears that the plane’s front landing gear failed.

A total of 181 people – passengers and crew – were on the flight. It took 32 fire trucks and multiple helicopters to contain the blaze. The aircraft was completely destroyed except for the tail assembly.

Sports: Good day for LA teams

Both Los Angeles-area NFL teams were victorious on Saturday. The Los Angeles Chargers (10-6) clinched an AFC wild card berth with a 40-7 romp over the New England Patriots in Foxboro and the Los Angeles Rams (10-6) moved closer to an NFC West title with a nail-biting 13-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals at SoFi Stadium.

The forecast for Sunday is for a daytime high of 61 with an overnight low of 50 under partly cloudy skies. Monday will tick up to 62 (47). Tuesday will have cloudy skies and high of 67 (46), followed by 67 (49) on Wednesday and partly cloudy skies.
