When residents of a home on Chestnut Street in Westminster heard cracking noise in their attic and smelled smoke Monday morning, they evacuated the house and quickly called 9-1-1.

They didn’t have to wait long as Orange County Fire Authority units were on the scene in four minutes. They quickly extinguished the fire, sparing the living areas of the building.

Huntington Beach Fire Department assisted and the SoCal Red Cross provided services for the residents.
