A relatively light agenda will greet the Westminster City Council when it meets on Wednesday.

There will be a closed session at 4 p.m. and an open session at 6 p.m.

In closed session, the council will consider appointment of a city attorney. At the Feb. 12 meaning, the council voted to fire Christian Bettenhausen, who had been the city’s legal counsel since 2021. He currently serves as city attorney for Placentia.

On the agenda for the open session, the council will:
• recognize the sponsors and community sponsors for the 2025 Tet Parade;
• consider making appointments to city commissions and committees for 2025-2027 for planning, parks and recreation, cultural arts, traffic and citizens oversight for Measures Y and E.

The council will meet in its chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd.
