Murder suspect is arrested

A GARDEN GROVE resident has been arrested for the shooting death of another Garden Grove man (Shutterstock).

A 19-year-old Garden Grove man has been arrested in the shooting death of another Garden Grove resident.

According to Sgt. Nick Jensen of the GGPD, Chan Tham Giang was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly fatally shooting Trieu Huynh, 26.

The incident began on Friday, Feb. 21 at around 11:20 p.m in a parking lot near 9622 Garden Grove Blvd. where a report was made of a shooting that had just occurred.

The site of the incident was on the south side of Garden Grove Boulevard between Gilbert Street and Belfast Drive in the “Koreatown” business district.

Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Police rendered medical aid until Orange County Fire Authority paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.
