Hungry for a place to eat while taking in the ocean views from the Huntington Beach Pier?
The Huntington Beach City Council will consider two actions on Tuesday night that would clear the way for the establishment of a new restaurant to be called Huntington’s. It will involve the expansion of one existing shop.
The eatery has already been approved by the city, but because of its location, the council must approve and authorize a lease agreement with the State Lands Commission and an agreement with the California Coastal Commission.
Originally approved back in 2022 was a conditional use permit for the construction of a 250-foot kitchen addition and two outdoor dining patios totaling 620 square feet at the existing structure and the construction of 450 square foot enclosed dry/cold storage room, two new restrooms and a trash enclosure.
Additionally there will be up to three freestanding retail kiosks.
The council will meet in its chambers at 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown Avenue). There will be a closed session at 5 p.m. with the regular meeting planned to begin at 6 p.m.
