SANTA ANA police arrest suspect in cat killings (SAPD photo).

A “serial cat killer” suspect has been arrested by Santa Ana police after allegedly stealing and killing many cats in Santa Ana and Westminster.

According to the SAPD, arrested on Wednesday was Alejandro Acosta Oliveros, 45, of Santa Ana.
Reports have been made over a several-week period of a man – caught on home security cameras – grabbing cats from yards and whisking them away in his vehicle.

Many of the animals have been found deceased.

One of the more publicized incidents involved the taking of a 10-month old Bengal Lynx – “ Clubber” – from a home in Westminster.
