Detectives and forensic staff of the Westminster Police Department are investigating the death of a male Monday evening which is considered to be a homicide.
According to Commander Andy Stowers of the WPD, police responded to the 8200 block of 13th Street around 6:15 p.m. to assist the Orange County Fire Authority in checking on the welfare of a person who was “down and unresponsive” outside a public building south of the Civic Center.
The person was declared dead by the OCFA.
The crime appears to be isolated and there doesn’t appear to be any threat to the public, according to Stowers.
