On Thursday morning around 8 a.m. a resident in the area of Gumwood Circle near Wilson Street in Westminster called police to report “an unknown male” upstairs in the house.

WPD officers responded to the scene and quickly set up a perimeter. They entered the house and took the suspect into custody.

It was determined that the suspect was on probation and under post-release community supervision. He was booked into Orange County Jail for burglary, probation violation and resisting arrest.

A drone and K-9 units from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Garden Grove Police Department assisted in the operation.
