Three persons were arrested this (Saturday) morning when a vehicle code traffic stop in Westminster revealed a penal code book-full of alleged violations of the law.
According to the WPD, the incident began at 2:30 a.m. when officers stopped a car in the area of Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Avenue for vehicle code violations.
In the car were two men and a woman, along with what police say was an open container of alcohol. They began removing the occupants of the car when officers noticed the rear passenger reaching down to his seat – not paying attention to their commands – and in possession of a firearm.
The ensuing search of the car turned up a loaded firearm, an ounce of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, say police. It turned out that the driver and passenger had outstanding felony warrants and the rear passenger was a convicted felon.
All three were arrested and booked into Orange County Jail on a variety of charges. They are:
• Jesus Raya-Chavez, 31, of Anaheim, for resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia for controlled substances;
• Paulino Aviles Ochoa, 43, of Anaheim, for carrying a concealed firearm on his person, sales or possession of large capacity firearm magazine, resisting arrest and other violations;
• Janet Corona, 27, of Rancho Margarita, resisting arrest and false impersonation.

Oh cut them some slack. They’re just coming back from a “No Kings” protest.
