President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Israel and Iran had agreed to a “complete and total cease-fire in their war.

According to the Associated Press, the pause in fighting would be phased in over 24 hours.

However, there was no official confirmation from either the Israeli or Iranian governments. The AP also reported that Israeli air strikes against Tehran and other targets continued.

Earlier today, Iran fired missiles at the U.S. base in Qatar, but no casualties were reported. The numbers of missiles fired were put variously at 19 or 14 but none struck their targets.

Migrants can be deported elsewhere

The Trump Administration will be allowed to deport migrants to countries other than then their own, the U.S. Supreme Court decided on Monday.

The vote was six to three with the three liberal judges dissenting. In the meantime, those migrants will be held in a U.S. military base in South Sudan.

A lower federal judge had paused the plan, ruling that the migrants should have the opportunity to show they faced torture if sent there.

The issue will be more fully resolved when the government’s appeal of the judge’s ruling is resolved.
