A 3.5 percent pay raise for City Manager Hannah Shin-Heydorn was approved by the Stanton City Council on a 5-0 vote on Tuesday night
Her annual salary will be $285,136 effective on July 1, 2025. That 3.5 percent increase is the same provided this year for all city employees.
Also on Tuesday night, the council approved the continuance of a proclamation of a local emergency caused by the homelessness crisis.
In an accompanying staff report, it’s stated that from 2019 to 2024, the “point in time” count of homeless persons in Stanton increased by 138 percent. By contrast, Garden Grove has seen a 39 percent decrease over that period.
