The Huntington Beach Sports Complex is one of the most extensive and unique facilities of its kind in Orange County.
It may be getting more extensive and unique under a proposal before the Huntington Beach Planning Commission when it meets on Tuesday.

What’s on the agenda is an appeal of the zoning administrator’s approval of a conditional use permit for allowing the sales, service and consumption of beer and wine.

The operation would be within a proposed approximately 5,200 square foot outdoor dining area for an eating and drinking establishment with full table service at the complex located at 18260 Goldenwest Street between Talbert Avenue and Ellis Street, near the Central Library at 12860 Goldenwest Street.

The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center at 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown Avenue).

  1. I think it’s a great idea. Field of Dreams complexs have a Restaurant, snack bar at the facilities. Any recreations of famous ballpark. Serve a lot of food and a lot of beer and wine. I am in red some of the you USSA tournament for years. Never saw one problem. They were always very busy selling food. I think it’s a fantastic idea.
