The appointment of an interim community development director was approved by the Westminster City Council when it met on Wednesday.
Passed on a 5-0 vote was the hiring of Steven Mendoza, a retired former executive director of Santa Ana’s community development agency, as well as director of community development and public works for the City of Los Alamitos.
The position has been vacant since September 2024.
Mendoza will be paid $102.05 an hour, with a maximum annual cost of $212,264.
