YORBA LINDA rallied from a 17-7 deficit to defeat Edison 21-17 on Thursday night (Shutterstock).

In a clash of two of Orange County’s top-ranked football teams, Yorba Linda defeated Edison 21-17 on Thursday at Sheue Field on the Huntington Beach High campus.

Edison took a 17-7 lead in the third quarter but the visitors rallied with two touchdown runs by Isaiah Trujillo, the last coming with two minutes to play.

Edison then drove to the Yorba 14-yard-line, but turned the ball over on downs.

The Mustangs are now 2-0 and the Chargers are 1-1.

Also on Thursday night, Westminster (now 1-1) defeated Buena Park (1-) by17-0.

In flag football, Magnolia defeated Glenn 33-6, Fountain Valley bested Garden Grove 39-6 and Bolsa Grande defrosted Pacifica Christian.
