The 77th Prime Time Emmy Awards on Sunday night saw “The Studio” win the top award for best comedy series as well as the most wins ever for a comedy series.
The best drama series award went to “The Pitt.” in the category of drama series, “Adolescence” was the winner for Best Limited Series.
Honors for best talk show series went to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Speeches by the winners were cut short by a scheme by host Nate Bargatze to donate money – ultimately $350,000 – to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America – based on how many speakers could keep their comments to a 45-second limit.
Rams over over Titans 33-19; Angels fall into last place; Dodgers beat Giants to defend lead
Matthew Stafford passed for 298 yards and two touchdowns as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Tennessee Titans 33-19 to improve to 2-0.
The Los Angeles Angels (69-81) lost 11-2 to the Mariners in Seattle, falling into last place in the American League West after four consecutive losses.
The Los Angeles Dodgers (84-65) defended their 2.5-game lead in the National League West by beating the San Francisco Giants 10-2. The Blue Crew hammered out 12 hits, led by Teoscar Hernandez, who batted 4-for-6, scoring three runs and Michael Comforto, who was 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
