Jimmy Kimmel, the late night talk show host suspended last week for remarks he made after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk , will be on his show soon
According to the Associated Press, in a statement, ABC announced Monday that he’d be back on Tuesday.
“We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,” read the statement from ABC.
Kimmel’s suspension raised questions abut freedom of speech on TV, but also rallied viewers and entertainment celebrities to his defense.
Two large groups of ABC affiliates – Nextstar and Sinclair – who supported the suspension of Kimmel – had no immediate public comment abut his reinstatement, nor did President Donald Trump, who applauded his suspension.

Many health agencies – including the Food and Drug Administration – have stated there is no link, and Tylenol defended the safety of its product in a press release Monday.
In other news regarding Trump, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that he had the authority to fire a Democratic member – Rebecca Kelly Slaughter – from the Federal Trade Commission.
